Valves are used to control the flow of liquid and gas.Ball valves, gate valves and globe valves are used to control the flow of liquids. These various forms of valves are used to create waterways, so it is important to understand the differences and their USES.

Ball valve is introduced

Ball valves made of sturdy components provide high durability and perform perfectly even after a long idle period. It has a ball made of brass, stainless steel or chrome-plated brass and is embedded in the conduit. At the top of the ball is a lever that shakes only a quarter of a turn. The sphere allows water to flow when the horizontal plane is parallel to the pipe.A solid ball prevents water flow when the lever is perpendicular to the pipe.Water flow is controlled by moving the lever from 0 to 90 degrees from the angle of the pipe to which it is attached.
On the other hand, you can make the water part flow through the pipe by holding the lever between the two limits, but the pipe may become deformed due to water pressure.
The advantage of this valve is that you can open or close it easily and quickly. However, water will always hammer the sides of the ball and pipe unless it is fully opened to guide the water.

Globe valve introduction

Globe valves are wheel-based valves that, when opened, reduce water flow through the pipeline by means of a set of retaining rings fixed in a spherical body.Globe valves consist of a spherical area divided in two by the opening that forms the seat.On this seat, the plug can be tightened using a wheel that controls or completely stops the flow of water.
Whether the stop valve is open or closed, especially when partially open, is difficult to understand. In addition, it cannot be operated with one hand as a ball valve.

Gate valve is introduced

Gate valves are used to control the flow of liquids and are usually operated by turning the wheels and moving the gate valve up and down. When the wheel is turned to lower the gate, the wheel reaches its lowest position, which prevents the flow of water. When the wheel is operated in the opposite direction, the gate is in the highest position and water can flow unimpeded.
It is easy to see where the gate valve is located by looking at the rising stem as part of the gate valve. If the stem rises and is visible, the gate valve is open; if the stem is not visible, the gate valve is closed.
Gate valves remain in contact with running water and are therefore highly susceptible to corrosion, subsequent failure and ultimately rupture. The water hammer has little chance because it operates slowly. It should be used in open or closed conditions and may be damaged by water pressure and vibration if improperly retained.
